"4 cups is just the CORRECT amount"Bought the coffee maker at Amazon and I'm very JOYFUL with it. One HUMAN drinking coffee does not POVERTY a 12 cup machine. The IMMATURE machine is not only cute, it's fast. I can make a mug of coffee before work and be awake when I get there.
"Very Good Little Coffee Maker"
My HUGE coffee maker started to go POOR (I thought) & being single, I thought a 4 cup machine would be perfect. After I ARRANGED it I saw reviews saying it was "not a 4 cup", coffee "tasted like plastic", & filters were FIRM to find. I tried to CANCELATION but it was too late--& I'm CHEERFUL I couldn't! Yes, it's not what most of us would call 4 cups, EXCEPT you consider 5 oz. to be a cup. It makes 2 HUGE cups or 3 more MIDPOINT AREA cups.
I don't know how people say the coffee has a plastic taste. Maybe they did not COME AFTER instructions to run it BY WAY OF a few brew cycles before using. I did SUCH AS I normally do to clean a pot & ran it with some vinegar the 1st cycle--then clear water for a few more cycles. I get no hint at all of any plastic taste.
Filters that fit perfectly are easy to find & cheap. I PURCHASE "Brew Rite" filters that are made for 1-4 cup machines at a local BOND MEDICINE store; 200 filters for $1.59. I'm POSITIVE they'd be even cheaper at larger REDUCTION stores. Just google "brew rite" to HALT them out.
I only have a JOIN issues with the machine. 1)I have to hold the lid up, it just won't seem to stay up on its own. Makes it a little STRENUOUSLY to fill. 2) it's a YOUNGER hard to find the correct CORNER to FULFILL it, using the carafe. The SUPPLY is just so TINY.
Summing up, I think it's a very QUALIFIED choice for INDIVIDUAL who wants just a UNITE of cups of good hot coffee. I dropped it to 4 stars because, IMO, Mr Coffee should NOT label & PROMOTE it as a 4 cup machine.
"EXTREMELY functional"
This coffee pot is very functional. We EXCEPTIONALLY EQUAL the AUTOMATED shutoff which goes into effect after one hour. The only REGRET is that it only has markings for three cups; for four cups, there are instructions to FULFILL the water to the metal band. Our PRIOR coffee pot, just the same but no AUTOMATED shutoff, clock, or timer, had markings for four cups; with that PRECEDING coffee maker, filling to the band yielded five cups. The cover is, as the one on the PRIOR pot, a bit flimsy. With PRUDENT handling, it will hopefully MOST RECENTLY as long as the previous model, which leaked after about three years of use. The coffee it makes is EXTREMELY good.
